This is the first in what I hope will be a long line of beginner books.  My aim is to introduce very young students (preK-2nd grade) to the vocabulary of art and architecture.  This volume presents the vocabulary of Spanish missions, and provides students with new terms such as "pediment," "oculus," and "buttress." These are illustrated with images of missions from California and Texas.  Included are silly cartoon animals and goofy text.
